My First Garden… just a 12×2′ trough on my back patio and some newly acquired containers and pots! This is the first place I have ever lived that could sustain plant life… my last apt. I couldn’t even keep my succulent alive by leaving it on the window sill thanks to the new high rise nextdoor… down here by the water I have a small amount of dirt that I decided to venture into this spring with a couple of tomato plants and red bell peppers… I have a variety of pocket planters that I love to put herbs in for cooking… and top with some lovely flowers… so far I am happy with the results of my first attempts… but always have questions and can’t always find answers… I do things when I can and want to – not always when I should… I’m not sure if I enjoy making pretty pots for the plants more than planting them…
