Just moved into the house my Grandfather built back around 1930. An old cape cod sitting on 2 acres of neglected land. I am basically starting from scratch and a little overwhelmed.
I moved in late winter 2007. Summer 2007 ended up being a horrible drought year here and was not a good year to start planting but I did anyway. This year has been much better, despite the flooding that occured this Spring, 2008. It is never a dull moment here in the Midwest.
I probably will add stuff only sporadically to my Folia page. I have to limit my computer time, or I get caught up on Facebook and Flickr and find I have wasted a whole day. I don’t want to add Folia to that ‘problem area’ of my life as well.

Zone 5 I have 2 large Springer Spaniels so planting inside the fence is pointless. I had someone dig the beds for me and then I started planting. The rose bed, though, was put in for...

Zone 5 When I moved it there was a huge stump in the middle of this lawn area. I started the garden around it to camouflage it. The front part I dug up the lawn and amended the soil....
