It got off to a late start, stayed pretty grey in August and then we had incredible warm weather in September – but it was productive garden. The pantry is looking good and the great part is some of my holiday season prep is done.
The Moulin Rouge sunflowers are still flowering and the squash is looking good.
The compost is pretty close to ready for mulching and winter preparation.

Gnome's Home on the 'hat 'Bluebird' in Spring
My favourite early clematis, ‘Bluebird’ is full and flowering. Along side the bleeding hearts, woodruff and dark parrot tulips. Asparagus, arugula and rhubarb are the first of this years produce. I am constantly awed by the beauty of nature.
Will add photos as soon as I’m able. Happy hoeing!

Another typical wet coast day on the ‘hat. Overcast and foggy here near the top. The garden is soaking up the moisture in preparation for the warm weather to come. Soon, I hope. I’m running out of rainy day chores.
