I have a disability that affects my hands. Yet I like gardening. I have started a blog called “The Gimpy Gardener” to talk about my gardening, not ignoring how the disability affects it. http://spidra.vox.com
Though I put down that I’ve been gardening 3 years, I actually went through a couple years of amateur gardening when I was a kid. Then, as now, my emphasis was food gardening. My parents’ place still has the guava tree and many of the other things I used my allowance money to buy and plant. But I was away from gardening for decades and have only recently started again. And I still feel like there’s so much to learn. I joined the California Rare Fruit Growers about 3 years ago as well and they have helped me educate myself.
I’ve signed up to be in the 2008 course of Alameda County Master Gardeners.

Zone 9b I'm not sure how to track my grafts. This is the first year I've made many but I hope to become more adept and I suspect I'll be "cocktailing" my trees quite a bit.
