In 1998, after working in a factory, I decided I wanted to work outdoors. I took a job with a small landscaping company and went throught the Master Gardener program, offered here by MSU. I was hooked!! Now, years later, after getting a 2 yr degree in business and gardening on the side, I work for one of the largest wholesale nurseries in the nation. I am in a cubicle all day and have very little contact with the plants; I like my job but still feel that growing is my thing. I decided, very recently, that I am headed back toward business for myself. I have started my ‘hobby farm’ with a small flock of chickens and have increased my vegetable garden to 3 times the size of when I started years ago. I will be eliminating our weedy lawn in front of our house and putting in some growing beds this year and adding greenhouses, and goats, starting next spring. I am very excited about this new venture or adventure, really, and look forward to sharing it with all who visit my pages. I appreciate all advice and sharing of plants, seeds and secrets, as I will share whatever I can with you. The best thing about gardeners and the original ‘green’ industry is the laid back nature of us and the excitment of watching things grow. Thanks for visiting and reading about me, I look forward to getting to know you and your garden!! Have a nice day! Let’s get growing!!!
