    Your garden looks great. My parents used to use string like that when planting to lay out the rows. I do square foot gardening in my own plot, but yours makes me feel nostalgic! Did you have to remove the sod from that area before planting?

    Thanks, Katxena. Actually, we had to pull the weeds from that area before planting. We’ve lived in the house for 6 years, and I still haven’t finished the backyard! So we thought a garden would be nicer than weeds this year. I picked up a truck load of Eko compost and tilled it in to the garden soil.
