Renemarie's Gail's half acre garden
I grew up with a large vegetable garden. Dad loved to garden. As a child I hated it: hoeing, planting, weeding, work, work, work. As an adult I found that I loved it: hoeing, planting, weeding, nurturing, nurturing, nurturing. I never lived anywhere as an adult where I could have a garden. When my long time boyfriend moved into his childhood home that he inherited, it had a HUGE blackberry patch. He said it was his Dad’s old garden plot. It took a couple years to clear it out by hand and a couple more before I had a decent garden. Now I have a beautiful garden 20′×80′. I am still making additions and improvements every year.
