Emmylyn's Back Deck garden

We have a small sloped area in our backyard that butts up to our neighbors garage, it was a pain to mow and we talked about planting there so we wouldn’t have to worry about that anymore… in my mind I saw peonies and flowers so two years ago I planted three peonies and the rabbits insisted on eating them the moment they popped out of the ground… I thought they were done for so I went and bought asian lillies and they were just fine…. Last year my hubby decided to add a deck to the backyard so this small garden area is on the east side of it we mulched all of it added a water fountian and a sand box for the small ones… he found solar tiki torches for the deck too…. Any way my peonies all came back up and look beautiful until the gazebo blew over on top of them this last week… I added a hosta, a small tickseed, and a rocket to the area this year… the lillies have really filled out on the one side they were beautiful last year, one of them grew about 6 feet, never seen one that big before so I am hoping they will do that again this year…
