Marisa Elana's Tiny assortment of pots on the steps garden
This is basically a tiny landing between flights of stairs. It gets tons of sunlight from about 11:00am until 4:00pm, in a desert climate, which means that the plants dry out quickly! We water at night. Under the violets are two new ginger “rootlings,” which I planted a few weeks ago. They’ve just started sending up tiny little green shoots, and as soon as they’re a little more noticeable I’ll add photos. We use the herbs daily in tea and cooking, and I’m hoping to start a second garden in our glass-enclosed patio at the back of the apartment!

Your garden looks great! I used to do container gardening in the desert (I lived in Arizona-USA for a while). It’s definitely challenging. I can’t wait to see your ginger!
