Steenasunshine's Vegetable garden
So, to reduce the grocery bill this year, I tripled the size of my veggie garden. This will also be the first year I attempt canning and freezing my veggies. The garden consists of around 70 tomato plants in several varieties, including; Roma,Big Boy, Early Girl,Grape,Yellow Pear,Cherry, and a couple heirloom varieties, Brandywine and German. I have several rows of bush beans in six varieties. Peppers, mostly the hot varieties, for drying, and a few bells to put up. New additions this year include;Rhubarb,Leeks,Onions(Red and Yellow,Parsnips and Cabbage. We also have Broccoli,Raspberries,Oregano and lots of carrots in the main garden with more Herbs being put in soon. I also have a second area planned out for this year. The back garden is getting Grapes with the squash and melons interplanted. It is getting a little late start so I am unsure of it’s productivity for this year but it is worth a try for a couple Watermelon,Pumpkins and Zucchini. Last note: I have been unable to purchase all seeds and plants as Organic but am using ONLY organic methods in my garden.
Steenasunshine's Vegetable garden does not have any plants yet.
