More perennials, filled out with re-seeding annuals and a few bedding plants. The primary photo was taken July 28, 2008. The second one shows the late, lamented gorgeous shrub-like painters palette that was the wonder of the garden walk.

About 5 years ago all the woody perennials died over the winter— the Painter’s Palette, as well as my sage, lavender, and butterfly bush. This picture also shows the old lavender, now replaced with a new one.
