Whit94's Dominating Side Yard garden
I decided last year in 2007 that i wanted to grow a garden outside of the pot garden i was already growing in the backyard. so, my parents and i started work at tilling up the dirt on the side yard of our house. i did most of the heavy labour, but my dad did all the irrigation for it. we added only four yards of a local composted duck fert. it kicked ass! we killed it that year with 80% of our crop comming out healthy and unscathed. except for the corn.. i dunno about that one. soon before our last harvest and sowing of the first cover crop, we decided to till over a median srip in the front of the yard and plant in rows of garlic. fucking kicked ass at that too! we got 100 cloves of garlic and all of them were fat and bulbous. plenty of keepers for this years crop. trying to squeeze in one more row this year.. going for 150!
