Val's Island garden

I’m calling this a patio garden because its purpose is to screen the patio from the street. Is in the planning stages. I would like for it to extend across half of the front yard. It would be both a sun and a shade garden. I plan to cut down three cottonwood’s which will provide more sun to this bed.
