Technically, this is last springs vegie patch…beautiful isn’t it??!!!!
Not a big fan of rows of plants etc…i take a bit more of a higgelty piggelty view of planting so i can disguise them from predators & protect certain plants from pests & the weather. Corn interplanted with beans & watermelons…..sunflowers/tomatoes & corn….zucch with carrots & beets…marigolds are allowed to re-seed all over the patch. This makes for a very pretty garden too. My veg seem to thrive compared to a few years ago when i was growing them in rows that were either eaten by birds or fried in the hot summer sun…i think i have found the right system for me.
