Lynnie's Granite Gardens garden

Created on Monday, 18 Aug 08

Peter and I live on the edge of what is called the nuggettys’.
We live on a bush block of 7.5 acres.
Our house is surrounded by an acre of land which consists of sandy soil and granite rock.
We have a rock tumble in which we grow mostly native plants, where grevilleas and correas seem to do especially well.We have heaps of eucalyptus and other native trees.
We love our vegie garden, but what we grow is limited to our rainfall, as we are on tank water only.
I have recently started to collect succulents.
We collect bowls and unusual pots from op shops and garage sales, Peter drills holes in the bottom, I pot up the plants and decorate them with stones etc.
I also propogate cuttings from any excess of succulents, and because they are drought tolerant I have quite a collection at the moment.
We also have chooks, a rooster 4 dogs, and lots of birdlife.
Life is great.
