Hedgehog's Flower garden

This is a new area that I added this year to my house. We put in some big rocks and filled with compost soil and then I planted a clematis on one side and honeysuckle on the other side. I want them to grow on each side and then over the arbour gate to intertwine with a clematis that is planted on the other side. It is starting to do well too. I also planted some lobelia, marigolds and other flowering plants as well to fill in around the climbers. All of the plants did well except the marigolds that I never seem to have luck with. Something eats them no matter where I put the darn things!
