Annet's Piccardthof Allotment garden
Maybe it’s a bit premature, because I only just heard that I’m getting an allotment, but as far as I’m concerned it’s a done deal :) It’s 50 m2 large and it’s on a large complex, inside the big city park, which is just across the street from us. The city park is truely huge, with ponds, bike tracks, a horse racing track, petting zoo, soccer fields, two allotment sites.. Really huge.
The Piccardthof complex, where my allotment is, also has (small) holiday homes with ornamental gardens, beehives and a large swimming pond. Gardening on the complex is organic, and they continue to add wildlife-friendly features, such as a flower meadow and a frog pond.
I took a few pictures from the website, to show what the complex looks like. The first two show the veg gardens, after that you get the flower meadow, the bee hives and the frog pond
Annet's Piccardthof Allotment garden does not have any plants yet.

What a marvellous park to have on your doorstep, and what a very enlightened city council you have to support such a park. Good luck with the allotment.

Wow! What a fantastic opportunity.
I am so impressed by the organisation, and that the allotments are organic. That is a great policy, and makes so much sense.
I can only dream of something like that here, and wish. Our allotment system is an awful mess :-(
Good luck!

Remember you are not completely restricted to virtual gardening.
You can buy seeds & start them growing early.
Get a nice warm window area in the sun & set it up for your babies.
About 6 weeks before planting time plant the seeds & you will have something to care for.
