Our weather report is giving us at least 7 more days with nighttime lows in the 50s. Hang on little eggplants! (still just baby-fist sized). You can make it!

I guess this is where region matters. You and I live so near eachother, yet my forecast, like Nax’s, still has at least 10 days in the 40’s and even 50’s! Good luck getting your garden battened down!

We had our first frost Saturday night. Fingers are crossed for you – maybe yours will hold off for a few more days!

We’re on the edge with 35 degrees, but it’s supposed to bounce back to the 40s and 50s over the next week or so. I’m really not sure what to expect when it actually does frost.

Supposedly we’ve already had some frost at night, but it was what weather people in this part of the world refer to as ‘frost at ground level’, i.e. if you were to measure the temperature at 1.5 meter (5 feet) – the international standard for air temperature measurements – above the ground, it would have been above 32 Fahrenheit (0 celsius). This week we’re back into the 60s during the day, so I’m hoping to get some more growth out of my garden :)

Yes, it’s bouncing from cold nights (37F as I type this at 7:05am) to 65F during the day. There is no cloud cover and all the heat of the day is escaping the earth at night.
Good for making one feel very happy about the autumnal changes, caramel apples and pumpkin pie… bad for summer veggies still hanging on. Of course, it’s Oct 7th, I really can’t complain. But, I do admit being so much more aware of the weather this year, thanks to journaling here at Folia…
As corny as it sounds, I feel like I’m on the pulse!! LOL

@wen— my husband tells me I’m no more obsessed than ever, and my paper journals confirm this, but yes, I feel like I’m paying more attention pretty much because of Folia.
