matangie Harvesting: Onion harvest begins

Friday, 03 Oct 08 (posted about 1 months ago) Sunny 16°C / 60°F Very Happy

When I checked today, I noticed that the leaves were dead on some of these. So I pulled up the ones that were ready to go. As it turns out, most of them bulbed. :-) The bulbs are pretty small (quarter to half-dollar sized) but not bad for my first attempt, especially given the spring rains, blah blah blah. Anywho, ones bed of onions had had mulch put on it. These seem to have survived better so I put a tad bit on the other bed too
