My kitchen is being taken over!!!
The weather is funky this time of year. One day its 70, the next its 45. The plants have been outside mostly, but seeing as the weather is supposed to drop tonight, everything was brought back in. I guess that is the good thing about having a container garden. The only problem is, my kitchen has been taken over!!! I attached pictures. Eating dinner at the kitchen table was a little tough tonight. Please excuse the bit of messiness in my house, its been quite a hectic week. I have really thrown myself into gardening this week because, sadly, I had to put down my 13 year old black lab, Sasha, on Monday. She was sick and it was time, but its still really hard. I have basically just thrown everything into working on the garden. It has been extremely therapeutic and helpful.
--On a brighter note, my trusty gnome-be-gones are working. They are supposed to rid my
garden of those pesky lawn gnomes. I have attached a picture of them hard at work.

Your gnome-be-gones made me giggle – they look like they are doing a great job of keeping the gnomes out! I wonder where they take them – is there a big pile accumulating just over your fence? ;)

I had the same “house taken over by plants” issues about a month ago when we got frost on our frost free date. Doesn’t seem fair does it?
I’m sorry to hear about your Sasha, I lost my 12 1/2 year old Mari back at the end of March, just 3 months after losing my first dog Eris, who was a few months shy of 15. It is really hard…

The weather is completely topsy-turvy right now – we have really chilly conditions (12 degrees Celsius) while the east of the UK is basking in temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius (warmer than many European cities that are supposed to be pretty balmy at this time of the year!
Heartfelt sympathy on your loss of Sacha – it’s never easy to take a tough decision like that. Friends of ours had to have their sixteen year old Collie cross put down last weekend and she, like you, has been gardening like a dervish ever since.

Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Sasha!! She was lucky to have a mommy like you and lived a long life. We too lost a dear dog recently and I know exactly how theraputic the garden can be.
