I saw an Episode of “Good Eats” where the guy popped corn in the microwave without using microwave popcorn. I guess you could do the same when you harvest your corn. Save some and dry it out and then all you do is put 1/4 cup popcorn in a brown or white paper lunch sack with 2 Tbsp olive oil. Fold down the top twice over (very small folds) and staple (yes, staples) the top, one on the right corner and one of the left. Give the bag a shake and put in the microwave for 1 min 45 secs. Ever since I saw that episode, I do this all the time. I don’t use my own corn because I don’t grow corn, but it’s the best popcorn you will ever eat. The only thing with it is that the oil leaks out of those cheap lunch sakes pretty quickly so you have to move fast with it. Good luck with your corn.
