The pumpkins were kind of a spontaneous purchase. We have places for 4 garden boxes, but we started with only two this year. In one of the spots that’s going to be a box someday (the other is still a hole in the ground) we put a couple of bags of topsoil and plunked down the pumpkins that we had started from seed indoors….just kinda to see what would happen. They seem very content so far.
