Strawberries Ripening: Simply the Best!
Best strawberry so far. It tasted brilliant.
There are still more strawberries ripening on this plant, and they still haven’t been attacked by slugs!
Interestingly, 1-2 out of every three strawberries seems to be aborted at the early fruit growth stage. I wonder why? This entry is about Netto's Strawberries planting in the New Back garden garden

Strawberries Run away! run away!
One strawberry plant is, I think, trying to tell me it’s unhappy in its pot. It hasn’t produced fruit or even flowers. But it has just started to grow the fastest moving runner I have ever seen. I think it’s growing at about an inch a day. I wonder if I should leave it on and give it a chance to grow baby strawberry plants free from the confines of the pot. On the other hand I have also read that runners should be removed to improve the strawberry crop (which, let’s face it, is a dismal 0 for this plant). For now, my indecision means the runner stays attached, but not yet lying over bare soil.

Strawberries Flowering: another flower!
Funnily enough, although there are three plants in the one pot, all the action seems to be happening with just one plant.

Strawberries Ripening: One out of two ain't bad
You can see that I have thoughtfully shared one of my strawberries with a hungry slug.
The other one didn’t taste half bad! This entry is about Netto's Strawberries planting in the New Back garden garden

Strawberries Flowering: Flowering!
Strawberries have such cute little flowers. You can see the rose family resemblance. I’m certainly not picking them for display though – no, I want the fruit!!
