Blue sweet pea Moved on
All four of these seeds, and all the other seeds in the tray, have now sprouted. Before they get too leggy in the warmth of the house, I’ve moved the whole lot out to the lean-to greenhouse proper.

Blue sweet pea Sprouting: Full house
Having been slightly (very slightly) behind in the first seed showing, this batch of four won the race to be up and out of the ground as a section. All four present and correct. Which is good news. Hopefully I can move them all out to their winter homes soon and avoid them getting too leggy on the windowledge.

Blue sweet pea Sprouting: Playing catch-up
Not to be out-done by the candy cane sweetpeas, two of these are now showing! Still very small, no proper leaves, but two out of the… ummm… toilet roll. 2 more to go.

Blue sweet pea Sown: Blue sweet peas sown
I’ve sown four seeds of the blue ripple to see if I can overwinter them well. I’ve soaked them overnight, as per the instructions on the packet, and I’ve got them planted in toilet rolls. They get to stay inside until they germinate, then they’ll be outside into the greenhouse.
