Lime Basil Transplanted: Moving on Out!
Two of the seedlings survived the two week hardening off and were transplanted in the SW square bed on the north side of the house. On is on the west side of the bed and the other on the south side. I broke off all but the top two leaves and planted it right up to those leaves. I was reading in Organic Gardening that the basil does as the tomatoes do and grows extra roots from those leaf spots and planting it deeper will help it with our hot and dry climate.
