Cheapie 6-pak purchased from the Super Long’s in Oakland. They are pretty short. They’re planted in 2 of 4 raised beds as companion plants.

Again, Looks like a Tagetes patula to me: French Marigold. (I don’t bother with “cultivars” for marigolds. I just pull the spent flowers, twist ‘em in my fingers and reseed. You’ll never buy marigolds again.)

I bow to your expertise, hank. patula it is. I wish I knew cultivar names because I have more than one kind and if I’m going to save seed or trade seed, it would be helpful. Plants that reseed this easily have definitely been a blessing for me. A reward for being lazy!
