jane Jane's Chili Pepper 'Long Thin Cayenne'
Capsicum annuum

This is a medium hot pepper. I dry them and use them for cooking. They are nice to add to chili to make it hotter than jalapeno chili. Pretty eh? I started them early, from seed on my balcony coldframe. They aren’t as prolific here in Colorado as they are in the midwest, because they are heat lovers.

Long Thin Cayenne are great! I grew my firs batch last year and was very successful. I have one bush these this season. All the chilies are still green, but I expect by the end of the month we’ll see some red showing up.
