I love green beans. I really want to grow green beans. It’s just that once planted, the beans won’t grow for me.

I direct-sowed these seeds. They sprouted (unlike last year’s ‘Delinel’ bush beans) but only got about two feet high, and production has been awful. Next year, I’m going to make sure that they get choice territory and plenty of compost— experience is slowly teaching me that the sides of the berms and the shady end of the garden won’t do for these plants.
