I’ve never seen a fully double flowering hydrangea until I found this one at a Home Depot in Los Angeles a few months ago. Had to buy it for Kristin, for the plant had ‘girlie’ written all over it. Has been blooming for three months in a mexican pot located in a protected section of our patio (early to mid-morning sun). Wish I knew the name of this variety. See additional photo for more detail. Seen here with pink impatiens at the base; white would have been a better choice.
