Delicata is an heirloom squash, and produces a showy large yellowy-orange flower, followed by the fruit after pollination. The fruits can range from 1-2 lbs, with reportedly fruits as large as 3 lbs. The fruit has a creamy white skin with green stripes running down its sides, and the skin is even edible, which is rare for a winter squash.
Delicata is very resistant to powdery mildew.
