    Rooting cuttings | Still lush
Cut off some semi-green and semi-hardwood growing tips of my rosemary to root. They’re with the parents in the pot. Rooting powder, and bright shade. Little watering – once every two to three days.

    Dormant: Rosemary

    Posted about 3 days ago

While I’m marking this as dormant, I’m rather worried that it might have actually just died. I’m hoping I see signs of life from it next year as I started this guy from seed a year and a half ago. To be sure, I’ll start some more seeds again in February along with the the...

    Harvesting: Still ok in November

    Posted about 17 days ago | Rainy 15°C / 59°F

I did a major pruning at the end of September and cut foot-long branches from my large Rosemary bush to bring into the house from drying. As of today, although not flourishing, it is still green and showing some signs of new growth where it was pruned. There is no sign that it is dying back yet.

I bought a nice plant of Rosemary from Kenny’s in Fairhaven (the only place I could find it). It sat for two weeks waiting for Paul to till out the Herb Garden. It was finally planted there on May 24, 2008 and it looks fine.

    More growing tips and offshoots
My two rosemary plants are doing so well I’m tempted to buy more, either the standing kind, or the trailing kind.

Dug up the rosemary from the garden, took it inside and it prompty bloomed with the most delicate, orchid-like purple-spotted flowers – how gorgeous!! Now I worry about it becoming spindly inside….

Plain old common Rosemary, planted in early Fall 2005, has become a 4’ high, 5’ wide mound of AWESOME in the past three years. I clip it regularly, to give to friends, to use in cooking and incense wands, and to strew around my house and car for its wonderful scent. The picture is a...

Crap, I can’t remember which variety of Rosemary I bought in the spring! Damn me for not blogging that one. Planted four Rosemaries in the front garden this past March, for some evergreen-ness so the bed doesn’t look dead in the Winters. Large upright variety, blue flowers. Growi...

OMG! How did I forget to add the rosemary? I planted it along with everything else this summer. It’s doing great. The leaves aren’t as dark and glossing as the creeping rosemary I have, but its doing well.
