It's a lacecap hydrangea, duh!
I was complaining on Flickr that my hydrangeas didn;t fully open, and someone politely informed me that mine are lacecap hydrangeas that are supposed to look like that. Oops! The hydragena is absolutely not doing well. The flowers are hanging even though it gets enough water. A. suggested the soil is too basic, but will this show so fast on a plant planted from a garden centre? Budding: progress?
This is stil battling on and now there are healthy looking leaves and a few buds. Either it just got tall enough to shake off the snails and/or other pests or the nematodes have done their thing and killed them off.This entry is about Linda Mae's Hydrangea in the Back garden.
