Harvesting: First greenskin zucchini! Harvest tally: 1
My housemates will be so relieved to see this one, a ‘normal’ looking zucchini (the first I’ve ever grown!). Harvested it a little on the small side because it was growing squished in between leaves & vines, without much room to swell, so I thought it might spoil. Still, it&...This entry is about Glittertrash's Zucchini Greenskin in the Nunnery Vegetable garden.

Harvesting: Harvested 3 fruit, harvest tally: 6
This probably seems very close to my previous harvest journal but that was quite a few days overdue. These are 3 brand new zucchinis taken from the 2 Lebanese zucchini vines! 3, why, that’s enough for it to feel like an abundance, a bounty, a glut! I have been striving for a zucchini glut s...This entry is about Glittertrash's Lebanese Zucchini in the Nunnery Vegetable garden.

Harvesting: Harvest tally: 2 so far
2 of these so far, and 3 very very close to ready on the vine (was going to pick them today but didn’t need them to cook with and thought they could go another day- it’s interesting to see how much they grow day to day). I got funny looks when I brought in the harvest in this photo, w...This entry is about Glittertrash's Lebanese Zucchini in the Nunnery Vegetable garden.

Growing... Not sure of the fruit size
The zucchini is growing well, lots of foliage and a continuing cropping of male and female flowers. The fruit is a lot smaller than I expected and I’m waiting patiently in the hope that it will grow… I’m hoping this is a plant maturity thing – although small fruit does su...This entry is about Agronaught's zucchini in the Bed 1 garden.

Harvesting: Last Harvest
I was removing the leaves with powdery mildew, and there was only about five healthy leaves left. The plants looked really sad, and since we are not all that keen to consume more zucchinis, I decided to pull all the plants. This entry is about Soleil's Zucchini Squash in the Backyard garden.

Fruiting: Powdery mildew, but still producing!
We were out of town for two weeks, and there was rain when we were gone. That gave the zucchini powdery mildew, but didn’t stop it from fruiting! This entry is about Soleil's Zucchini Squash in the Backyard garden.

Harvesting: First harvest!
Behold, my first zucchini of the year! Picked this morning, used a kitchen knife to cut through the stem. It’s in the fridge at home with a small handful of bush beans awaiting whatever I decide to do for dinner tonight. It’s slightly larger than I normally harvest zucchini but I didn...This entry is about Glittertrash's Lebanese Zucchini in the Nunnery Vegetable garden.

Flowering: First female flower! And the tradition of 'zucchini-fiddling' resumes...
I had thought that this flower might open today, as yesterday it was showing bright yellow although it was still closed. I rushed out first thing this morning and there it was, merry as you like, my first open female squash flower of the season! Last year I waited weeks to get simultaneous male &...This entry is about Glittertrash's Lebanese Zucchini in the Nunnery Vegetable garden.
