PACKET:
Packed for 2008. Medium hot, 4-5" fruits on 30" plants mature quickly from green to dark red, and dry fast on the plants. Harvest about 69 days after plants are set outside.
Start indoors in a warm, sunny area 8 weeks before last spring frost. Sow seed 1/4" deep in seed-starting formula. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in 10-21 days in 70-80 F. Transplant to individual containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Before transfer to garden, accustom to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered area outside for a week. Set plants 15-18" apart in rows 2-3’ apart in a sunny location with well-drained soil when soil warms in spring. Set top of root ball 1/2" below soil level, water thoroughly.
Caution: Tie several peppers on a long string to hang for drying. Use rubber gloves, or clean hot peppers under running water to avoid skin burn from pepper juice.
